I'm Jessica or "Jrose" and I'm a piercer in Los Angeles County! I recently opened my own female/queer-ran tattoo studio in North Hollywood called "Rosebud's Body Art & Boutique" which also features a wide array of local handmade sellers!

I started my piercing journey in 2015 - I was walking through a mall in Michigan, feeling a little lost as I wasn't quite sure where I was going in life. I had gotten kicked out of a home that adopted me only for a whopping year after being in foster care for a while, so I didn't have much of an idea of who I was at this point in my life. I came across a "Help Wanted" sign in the window of a tattoo shop, and it had struck me that, as much as I had always loved body art and body modification, I never considered it as a profession. Aside from piercing friends with safety pins in middle school, I hadn't much knowledge or experience. I rolled up my sleeves and walk inside despite this, however, and got hired to sell body jewelry for them. That paved the way for me to start learning about piercing itself! The rest is practically history. I started piercing officially in 2017, and I've never loved a craft more - besides writing, that is.

I've gone through a lot of transformation as a piercer, and in my journey and through all my growth, I decided I wanted to share as much about what I've learned as I can with everyone out there on the inter-webs so that all people getting piercings and/or doing piercings have a place to get, give, and relate to piercing related information! This is a safe space to learn and grow and I'm so excited to share it with you!
